December 2, 2021: The sad day has finally come—the last post for the 2021 Prague Blog. It simultaneously feels like we just arrived in Prague yesterday and like we’ve lived here for years; the time has gone by so quickly, yet we were able to fit so many activities and experiences into these ten weeks.

November 16, 2021: Ahoj! Although it is such an honor to be asked to write a guest blog, just a few forewarnings: I have zero qualifications for critiquing food or coffee. I’m not a super taster, like Hisui, or even a coffee connoisseur. So while reading this and coming across questionable hot takes, just remember that I identify as an amateur, but enthusiastic, food photographer and coffee consumer.

November 9, 2021: It’s getting close to the end of the program, but we were still able to fit in some great activities. We had our last clinic visit of the term, a soccer game against the sex offender patients at Bohnice, celebrated Diwali and Joey’s birthday, and went to the ballet. It was another busy week in Prague!

November 2, 2021: Ahoj! We’re back in the Czech Republic, but that doesn’t mean we were only in Prague in the last week. In our last excursion of the term, we visited a uranium mining town (turned ski resort) and the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary. Keep reading to hear about Bohemian glass, healing mineral water, radioactive rocks, and a nail-biter of a hockey game!

October 26, 2021: Dzień dobry! We just came back from our 5-day excursion to Poland, which was filled with historical tours, museums, biking, soccer, salt mines, and meeting another former Carl. The fall colors were beautiful in Krakow and we even had the chance to try some traditional Polish food.

October 25, 2021: Hello hello! This is Hisui, and Rachel kindly offered me to write a blog about the Budapest trip! Sara, Onelis, and I went to Budapest, Hungary last weekend for two and a half days. We arrived Thursday evening (Oct. 14) and came back to Prague at 2am on Monday, but still managed to attend class at 10am 😀

October 17, 2021: It’s the end of week five, and we can’t believe that the program is already halfway through! We didn’t have any excursions this week, so it was a chill week in Prague (literally and figuratively). The temperatures are definitely dropping, but we’re still spending a lot of time exploring the city and finding warm things to eat and drink!

October 4, 2021: We had a great time in Slovakia, but we’re back in Prague! It’s been a busy last couple days with our first clinic visit, a day trip to Kutna Hora, a social activism conference, movie night, and so much more.

September 29, 2021: The last two days of Slovakia were filled with more hiking, souvenir shopping, good food, and rafting! We were glad that the sunny weather held out the whole time we were there, and it was nice to have a break from the fast-paced city life in Prague.
