Carleton student receives high honor from the University of Barcelona
31 March 2014Carleton student, Michelle Marinello, who participated in the CIEE Barcelona Advanced Liberal Arts program this fall, has received a 10/10 (Matrícula de Honor) in one of her University of Barcelona (UB) classes. Alberto del Río Malo, CIEE Resident Director, writes:
This is an extraordinary grade and it is really difficult to receive it: Spanish professors can only can give 1 Matrícula de Honor each because for the Spaniards that means that you don’t have to pay the tuition of one course during the next term. If it is difficult for the local students, you can imagine how difficult it could be for a study abroad student.”
Please join us in congratulating Michelle on this honor.
