Four Carleton off-campus seminars are overseas during the winter 2008 term. Coastal Marine Ecology and Environmental Science in Australia is under the direction of Associate Professor of Biology, Phil Camill. El Mundo Maya: Socio-Cultural Field Research Seminar in Guatemala and Chiapas is led by Sociology/Anthropology professor Jay Levi. Middle East Mosaics, with President Rob Oden and Professors Dana Strand (French & Humanities) and Stephen Strand (Economics) is traveling to Cairo, Egypt, Istanbul, Turkey, and Rabat, Morocco. French professor Cherif Keita leads the Francophone Studies in Mali program.
