Working in the OCS office meant that when the time came that I wanted to study abroad, I was well aware of the resources that were available to me. Despite seeing students coming in and out of the office from my perch at the office’s front desk, and despite spending many hours organizing program materials, restocking shelves, logging cultural funds, and so on, in the winter of my sophomore year I found myself in Naomi’s office as she went through different study abroad options with me.

Access to Exchange Fellowship Information
21 January 2019Are you ready to open doors to increase diversity in study abroad and international exchange? The National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE) is excited to announce the launch of the Access to Exchange Fellowship! We are seeking college students and recent graduates who are interested in a career in international education, and who wish to help make international exchange programs more diverse and inclusive! A successful applicant should have an understanding of disability culture and be passionate about increasing access to international education for people with disabilities.
The Access to Exchange Fellow will spend May – August 2019 working with the NCDE team towards the mission of increasing participation of people with disabilities in overseas programs. The fellow will be based in Eugene, Oregon at the Mobility International USA (MIUSA) office.

OCS 2018 Pre-departure Series
1 May 2018The OCS Office is providing a series of 6 Pre-departure Workshops covering a wide array of topics to prepare students for off-campus study experiences in the 2018-2019 academic year. All students are welcome, whether or not they’re enrolled in OCS!
2018-19 Carleton and Non-Carleton OCS program participants are strongly encouraged to attend 2 or more workshops.
