Violet Brown ’17 and Julia Strand publish paper with Katrina Sewell ’21 and Jed Villanueva ’22

Violet Brown ’17, postdoctoral fellow in psychology, and Julia Strand, associate professor and chair of psychology, published a paper in Memory and Cognition with Katrina Sewell ’21 and Jed Villanueva ’22 titled, “Noisy speech impairs retention of previously heard information only at short time scales.” The paper presents research on how listening to speech in noise affects people’s ability to remember information they heard earlier.
