Syzygy wins Ultimate College Championships, CUT and CHOP take silver, Eclipse finishes fifth
Syzygy, CUT, CHOP, and Eclipse had amazing 2025–26 seasons.
Congratulations to Syzygy, CUT, CHOP, and Eclipse on incredibly successful seasons!
Syzygy had an undefeated season in the D-I women’s division, capping a clean sweep with their second national title in program history! The team’s 15–13 win over the defending UBC Thunderbirds also avenged last year’s universe point loss for Syzygy in the championship game.

CUT earned the silver medal in the D-I men’s division, only falling to the UMass Zoodisc in the second half of their finals match up, 11–15. While CUT did not achieve a second-straight national title, this year is the team’s ninth time in the finals, which ties the record for finals appearances!

CHOP also earned a silver medal for Carleton in the D-III men’s division, coming up short against the #1-ranked Middlebury Pranksters 7–15 in their championship game. This year’s success follows a top-three finish and Team Spirit Award win at Nationals 2025.

Eclipse tied for fifth in the D-III women’s division, falling 12–13 to the Wesleyan Vicious Circles in a competitive quarterfinals match. This result bests last year’s 11th-place finish for the team.

Carleton is consistently the only school to have teams in all four categories at the USA Ultimate National College Championships, which were held this year in Waukegan and Rockford, Illinois. Eclipse and CHOP competed May 16–18, and Syzygy and CUT competed May 22–25.
