Strand, Liben-Nowell, and students publish paper

Professors Julia Strand (Psychology) and David Liben-Nowell (Computer Science), along with five students, are recognized for the publication of a research paper.

Julia Strand, Assistant Professor of Psychology, and David Liben-Nowell, Professor of Computer Science, along with Violet Brown ’17, Xi Chen ’18, Maryam Hedayati ’18 (who gave the talk at the conference), Camden Sikes ’18, and Tegan Wilson ’18, had their paper entitled “Node Ordering for Rescalable Network Summarization (or, the Apparent Magic of Word Frequency and Age of Acquisition in the Lexicon)” published in the Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Complex Networks and Their Applications (December 2018). This project grew out of a CS comps project done by a team that also included Aman Panda ’18 and Duo Tao ’18.
