Shaohua Guo awarded fellowship from Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation

Shaohua Guo, associate professor of Chinese, has received a fellowship from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange Scholarly Grant program in support of her current book project, Streaming China in Times of Precarity: Webcasts, Short Videos, and Creative Industry. Guo will investigate how and why creative content, as exemplified by livestreams and short videos, thrives in the face of shifting global power dynamics and domestic challenges. Her book will enrich ongoing discussions on cultural production, platform studies, and narrative studies in the digital age.
