Dr. Sarah Fortner, science education associate, and Dr. Cathy Manduca, founding director, of Carleton’s Science Education Resource Center (SERC) have published a commentary in Earth and Space Science called “Geoscience Education Perspectives on Integrated, Coordinated, Open, Networked (ICON) Science.” The article includes 29 authors and engaged about 80 members of the geoscience education community in co-producing ideas on the future of collaboration in earth education. It covers themes of geoscience education practice; geoscience education research; and diversity, equity, inclusion and justice. The article is one of 19 commentaries in a special collection about ICON practices in the earth and space sciences.
