Roan Arendtsz ’27 and Ryan Terrien ’09, associate professor of physics and astronomy at Carleton, contributed to a recently accepted journal article titled, “Discovery of a Nearby Habitable Zone Super-Earth Candidate Amenable to Direct Imaging.” The piece describes the discovery of a nearby habitable exoplanet candidate orbiting the red dwarf star GJ 251.
