Rebecca Brückmann, associate professor of history, published an essay in German titled, “Die unvollendete Verfassung: Systemischer Rassismus und der Kampf um demokratische Teilhabe in den USA (The Unfinished Constitution: Systemic Racism and the Fight for Democratic Participation in the United States)” for the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (Federal Agency of Public Education). The piece analyzes African American history and current perspectives on the nation’s 250th anniversary.
