Paul Thiboutot (admissions) quoted in Star Tribune.

Paul Thiboutot, dean of admissions, was quoted in a March 3 Star Tribune article titled “Senior wants fairer grades,” which discussed the merits of a weighted grade system at the high school level. Thiboutot noted that Carleton admission officers spend time gauging what kind of classes applicants took, and said, “We’re not admitting kids based on a particular GPA or rank. We figure out what that GPA or rank represents.”
