Traditional event held outside due to Skinner Chapel renovation

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN) and Carleton trustee Carol Barnett ’86 addressed the students, staff and faculty in the traditional opening ceremony to the academic year. The event, held where commencement has been staged recently, was held outdoors on the lawn near Hulings Halls due to an ongoing (but nearly completed) renovation of Skinner Memorial Chapel.
