New exhibition from Cecilia Cornejo opens at Anderson Center in Red Wing
Cornejo is lecturer in cinema and media studies.
An exhibition from Cecilia Cornejo, lecturer in cinema and media studies, opened May 13 at the brand-new Untitled Gallery at the Anderson Center in Red Wing, Minn. Working from a background as a filmmaker, Cornejo embraces multiple ways of sharing stories, from the high tech—indexed databases, touchscreens and sound domes—to traditional practices of embroidery. The exhibition, titled “Threads of Connection & Belonging,” features Cornejo’s collaborative work with community members and organizations in Minnesota towns Northfield, Lanesboro and Red Wing while reflecting on a single theme: What does it mean to be home?
The exhibition runs from May 13 to July 30 with an artist reception on Friday, May 19. Learn more about the exhibition.
