“Black Cloud Rising”—a new book by David Wright Faladé ’86—received a favorable review this week from The New York Times.

According to the Times, the story is “so accessible and rousing…that you hope it becomes available as a mass-market paperback, in packaging that more clearly announces: This book is a straight-up page-turner.”

Wright Faladé is a 2021 recipient of an Alumni Association Distinguished Achievement Award for his invaluable contributions to literature on race, identity, and the mixed nature of America.
