Multiple Carls win second place in Undergraduate Statistics Project Competition

There were multiple Carleton winners in the 2025 Undergraduate Statistics Project Competition.
Colin Brown ’25, Yishu Cao ’25, Geoffrey Jing ’25, and Arthur Viegas Eguia ’25 won second place in the Undergraduate Statistics Research Project category. Supervised by Assistant Professor of Statistics Claire Kelling, the project is titled, “Understanding the Roles of Age, Ejection Fraction, Serum Creatinine, and Follow-up Time in Death after Heart Failure.”
Aubrey Tran ’27, Kezia Sharnoff ’27, and Annie Jay ’26 won second place in the intermediate division of the Undergraduate Statistics Class Project category. Supervised by Professor of Mathematics and Statistics Katie St. Clair, the project is titled, “Using Network Statistics to Analyze Amazon Movie Reivews.”
