Maya Gabor ’24, Maya Hofmann ’23, and Dan Hernández publish paper in agroecology journal
Hernández is professor of biology at Carleton. Gabor studied geology and Hofmann studied biology and biochemistry.
Maya Gabor ’24, Maya Hofmann ’23, and Dan Hernández, professor of biology, co-authored a paper titled, “Poultry grazing accelerates the ecological benefits of perennialization in a regenerative agroforestry system” for the journal Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems. The research was done in collaboration with two Northfield-area farms in the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance. Gabor and Hofmann are currently in the same graduate program studying agroecology at Pennsylvania State University.
