Ken Abrams publishes psychology research articles with Carleton alumni
Abrams is professor of psychology at Carleton.
Ken Abrams, professor of psychology, co-authored an article with Lindsay Okindo ’24, Marta Bacon ’25, Skylar Yu ’21, Sofia Santamaria Germani ’25, Malvika Malhotra ’25, and Nancy Cullen ’24. Published in IUSV Education, the article is titled, “The Use of Virtual Reality in PTSD Research and Practice.” The paper is based on research conducted by the authors and a keynote address given by Abrams at the Global Frontiers in Psychological Research: Emerging Trends and Challenges conference at the Salesian University Institute of Venice in 2025.
Abrams co-authored another article with Isabel Folger ’24 and Yichen Zhang ’24 titled, “The Restorative Effects of Virtual Reality Nature Simulations: An Empirical Investigation,” published in the same journal. The article is based on the psychology comps project conducted by Folger and Zhang, supervised by Abrams.
