Julia Strand receives commendations from Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science

Julia Strand, associate professor and chair of psychology, received two commendations from the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science (SIPS). The awards recognize projects that support the society’s mission of working to improve methods and practices in psychological science. The first commendation was for her 2023 paper “Error Tight,” which describes exercises for lab groups to identify places in their research workflow where errors may occur and pinpoint ways to address them. The second commendation was for her publicly accessible seminar on open science and replication.
