Jamie Van Nostrand ’01 has been named Carleton’s next assistant vice president for alumni engagement and annual giving. She begins her role on April 20.
Van Nostrand’s career has been distinguished by service to the nonprofit industry, including more than a decade at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where she held several leadership roles including senior advancement officer. During her tenure, she was responsible for raising millions of dollars annually and created new and innovative programs to elevate philanthropic productivity. Additionally, she played a key role in modernizing the museum’s reporting and analytics and was deeply involved in strengthening the organization’s cross-functional Equity, Data Governance, and Cultural Fluency workgroups.
Leveraging her extensive background in fundraising, Van Nostrand took that in-house experience and put it to work for nonprofit clients. More recently, she served as a lead consultant for RSM US, where she provided thought leadership and direction to a number of clients whose organizations deployed Salesforce as their central constituent management system. Prior to that, both at RSM and at Fionta, she became a trusted advisor for nonprofit clients, guiding them through high-stakes CRM enhancements and managing significant project budgets.
Beyond Van Nostrand’s professional accomplishments, she has a long history of community engagement, including early career work in volunteer recruitment for Big Brothers Big Sisters and current service as board president of The Negative Space. And, proudly, Van Nostrand has been an active alumni volunteer at Carleton and is currently a tri-chair for her upcoming 25th Class Reunion.
