Gary Carr ’65 publishes volume of short stories
Carr studied English at Carleton.
Gary Carr ’65 published a new volume of short stories with Lightwood Publishing titled, Furies’ Daughters: Four Feisty Women. The book “delves into the lives of four fictional women who battle the odds to make it in a hostile world.”
Carr received his BA in English from Carleton, MA in creative writing from Ohio University, and PhD in communications from the University of Texas. An author and playwright, Carr lives in Gunter, Texas. Previous books include The Girl Who Founded Nebraska and The Left Side of Paradise. He taught film studies and screenwriting at the University of Texas and has been the owner of a film production company and a publicity firm. He continues to write plays and historical fiction from his office in Gunter.
