Vincent was a former Carleton trustee and honorary degree recipient.
Former Carleton trustee (1988–1994), Carleton honorary degree recipient (2001), and famed baseball commissioner Fay Vincent passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 86. Vincent was a generous supporter of Carleton and served in many distinguished professional roles, including as the eighth commissioner of Major League Baseball, chairman of Columbia Pictures, and vice chairman of Coca Cola.
