Fall Food Fest is a social event organized by various groups involved in food, cooking, and activism on campus—among them, Farm House, Culinary House, Firebellies, Food Truth, Bon Appetit, and Eat the Lawn. The Food Recovery Network and the Real Food Calculator, two national student networks advocating green food systems, were also present.

“Fall Food Fest is an annual event put on by the food groups on campus to introduce students to the work that we do and build community,” said Charlotte Mann ’17, the President of Firebellies, a club dedicated to promoting interest in sustainable and healthy cooking, as well as understanding different cultures through the universal language of food.

At the event, food activists got a chance to tour the Carleton Farm and learn about ways to get involved in food community on campus. The organizing board also prepared some amazing dishes, which included produce from the Farm. The gathering was held outside Farm House, an off-campus house devoted to sustainable agriculture and living.
