Emily Fairfax ’14 was quoted in a New York Times piece titled, “Czech Dam Project Was Stalled by Bureaucracy. Beavers Built Their Own.” The dam project had been delayed by land negotiations; in the meantime, local beavers built several dams, ultimately saving the government more than one million euros.
