Christina Farhart publishes co-authored paper on conspiracy theory sharing

Christina Farhart, assistant professor of political science, along with co-authors Erin Fitz and Kyle Saunders of Colorado State University and Joanne Miller of the University of Delaware, published a paper titled, “By any memes necessary: Belief- and chaos-driven motives for sharing conspiracy theories on social media” in the journal Research & Politics. The authors’ work was covered by PsyPost in a piece titled, “The ‘need for chaos’ is linked to the sharing of conspiracy theories, study finds.” It was also featured by The Integrity Project.
