Chérif Keïta, co-director of Africana Studies and William H. Laird professor of French and the liberal arts, produced a video about a rare musical instrument, “dan,” and Adama Traoré—aka Yalomba—the person who is keeping and expanding this ancient and endangered artistic tradition in Mali.
