Charles Cogan ’82 published an opinion piece in MinnPost titled, “Thanks to vaccines, the eradication of polio is within reach.”
The ongoing effort to end the disease shows what sustained global commitment can accomplish. This year, there have been 38 cases of wild polio in only two countries: Pakistan and Afghanistan.
