Cathryn Manduca named Friend of the Planet by National Center for Science Education

Cathryn Manduca, the founding director of Carleton’s Science Education Research Center (SERC), has been named a “Friend of the Planet” by the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), a group that promotes accurate teaching of science, specifically evolution and climate change, in K-16 schools.
NCSE presents its Friend of Darwin and Friend of the Planet awards annually to outstanding scientists, communicators, journalists, and educators whose work has advanced its mission.
