Carleton’s ITS department was noted in an interview with human computer interaction (HCI) expert Brenda Laurelin the June 1 issue of Syllabus: Technology for Higher Education. Laurel cited Carleton’s “discipline-focus technology” approach and the Ohio State University Advanced Computer Center for Arts and Design as programs exemplifying the principles of HIC. Laurel said Carleton’s approach “fosters curriculum innovation” and has “proven that IT professionals can be successful collaborators with educators in the disciplines…”
