Carleton receives grant to support Summer Liberal Arts Institute scholarships
Carleton has received a two-year, $100,000 grant from The Hearst Foundations to support scholarships to the Summer Liberal Arts Institute.
Carleton has received a two-year, $100,000 grant from The Hearst Foundations to support scholarships to the College’s Summer Liberal Arts Institute (SLAI). The Foundations generously added $50,000 to the award. According to SLAI director Margi Youmans ’06, Hearst funds will provide as many as 33 full scholarships for under-resourced high school students to attend one of SLAI’s five three-week summer residential programs in the summers of 2024 and 2025.
