Anita Chikkatur, professor of educational studies, and Stephanie Valle ’17 co-authored an article published in the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning, an open access, peer-reviewed electronic journal. The article, titled “Rethinking ‘Damage-Centered’ Research and Individual Solutions: Cultural Humility as a Framework to Increase Student Diversity in Undergraduate STEM Departments,” discusses the findings of a participatory action research study conducted at Carleton about students’ experiences in STEM classes and majors.
