Alex Knodell co-edits special section of Journal of Greek Archaeology, with piece from Sam Wege ’22 and Michaela Fielder-Jellsey ’22

Knodell is director of archaeology and professor of classics at Carleton. Wege and Fielder-Jellsey both studied classics and archaeology at Carleton.

Alex Knodell, director of archaeology and professor of classics, co-edited a special section of the Journal of Greek Archaeology on “Lidar and Landscapes in the Archaeology of Greece.” The collection contains 14 papers, several of which are published Open Access.

Alongside editing, Knodell contributed an introduction on archaeological lidar in Greece and co-authored three papers on lidar-based landscape archaeology in the Cyclades, one of which was written with Carleton alumni Sam Wege ’22 and Michaela Fielder-Jellsey ’22.
