Wall Street Journal features President Byerly and VP Rodriguez on college process for children of higher ed admins

President Alison Byerly and VP and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Art D. Rodriguez were recently featured in “Even University Presidents Lose Their Minds When Their Teens Apply to College” by Melissa Korn at the Wall Street Journal.

Rodriguez admitted that his daughter gave him one condition when they visited schools together: he was only allowed to ask one question, lest he start grilling the tour guide and mortify said daughter.

Byerly reported that when touring colleges with her daughter (who eventually chose Carleton), she tried to limit her higher ed insider jargon in order not to stick out.
