Lakota Language Initiative at Pine Ridge

Sydney Botz ’19 and Haley Grable ’20 spent last summer working with Peter Hill ’00, founder & coordinator of the Lakota Immersion Childcare at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Hill and his colleagues at Thunder Valley CDC are working to revitalize Lakota language and culture by creating and developing educational curriculum for the next generation of fluent speakers.
