Humberto Huergo, Professor of Spanish, recently published a paper in France on the influence of the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes (Paris, 1925) on Spanish commercial architecture in Madrid between 1927-1936. Originally a conference delivered at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, the paper is entitled “Los escaparates del nuevo Madrid,” Bulletin d’Histoire Contemporaine de l’Espagne, 53 (February 2019), pp. 91-100.
