After discussing your schedule with your liberal arts adviser, you can make changes to your registrations in Workday. If you have any questions or need assistance, stop by the Registrar’s Office in Laird Hall 014 (ground floor).
8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. CLASS OF 2030 WINTER WARDROBE, Sayles-Hill Campus Center, 020
The Wardrobe provides incoming students with new and gently used winter clothing and accessories free of charge. Minnesota winters can be extreme and we recognize that not all students are adequately prepared to be outside during the long, winter months. The Wardrobe exists to support Carleton students with the greatest financial need, but is open to everyone in the Class of 2030. 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. #CarlTalk: WELLBEING & CONSENT, Recreation Center
As a community, we invest our energy and resources to take care of ourselves and one another to help us thrive. This CarlTalk will explore two key themes: (1) supporting your well-being through self-care and community care, and (2) how you can create healthy relationships, with a focus on boundaries, communication, and consent.

Your first year is the perfect time to begin exploring who you are, what you value, and how you want to make an impact. In this session, student career assistants (SCAs) and Career Center staff will introduce you to the tools, programs, and people ready to support you—starting now. We’ll share how the Career Center partners with you throughout your time at Carleton to help you discover possibilities, build experience, and confidently shape your future.
12:00 – 1:30 p.m. LUNCH WITH YOUR NSW GROUP
Meeting location will be determined with your NSW group. Don’t forget to bring your OneCard.
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. INDIVIDUAL ACADEMIC ADVISING (EXACT TIMES AND LOCATIONS WILL VARY)
An opportunity to meet individually with your adviser. Get your questions answered and get to know one of the people who will be key to your academic success at Carleton.
3:30 – 5:00 p.m. ACADEMIC FAIR, Recreation Center
Talk with faculty and student departmental advisers about course selection, placement, and anything else that’s on your mind.
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. DINNER WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS AND RESIDENT ASSISTANT(S)
Resident Assistant(s) will communicate a time and location to meet for dinner.
8:00 p.m. NSW Group Mixers, Various Locations
Take a break from talks, relax, and meet some new people! An opportunity to mingle outside of your NSW Group and start widening your connections at Carleton. We will have events in multiple locations simultaneously – the Gould Library, the Bald Spot, The Cave (lower level of Evans Hall). The Bald Spot & The Cave will have a Get-to-know-you bingo card available. Complete the card to win Carleton swag from the Student Activities Office.
- Bald Spot: Lawn games, individual canvases for paint and sip, and refreshments at the best hang-out spot on campus.
- The Cave: Lounge space, board games, music and refreshments in a more relaxed atmosphere to socialize with others. Karaoke starts at 8:45 p.m.
- Gould Library: Mystery Event
- Ready for an adventure? Join us for a Library Mystery Event! Put your detective skills to the test as you team up, follow clues, crack codes, and race to find a missing professor. It’s the ultimate fun-filled way to explore Gould Library and meet your fellow Carls. Space is limited to 90 detectives, so arrive early to claim your spot. The investigation starts promptly at 8:00 p.m.—don’t let the clue trail leave without you!
