Eric Hoopfer, assistant professor of neuroscience, gave an invited lecture for the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras, Department of Biology seminar series. The talk highlighted research by Ben Chamberlain Zivsak ’24, Sarah Nakamoto ’22 and Adi Satish ’23. He also led a workshop for the University of Puerto Rico Institute of Neurobiology entitled, “Building a low-cost experimental rig for optogenetic experiments,” based on hardware and software developed with Aaron Heidgerken-Greene, instrument project manager and manager of the Class of ’69 Makerspace and Instrument Shop.
