Justin London, Professor of Music, served as guest editor of a special issue of Empirical Musicology Review (vol. 10, no. 4, 2015). The issue is dedicated to “Musical Rhythm Across Cultures,” and it includes an article on the nuances of performance timing in Balkan percussion music by Daniel Goldberg ’08. EMR is an open-source journal with a public peer review process, where each target article is accompanied by several commentaries.
