Gao Hong, director of the Carleton Chinese Music Ensemble and Senior Lecturer in Chinese Musical Instruments, has been awarded an Artist Initiative grant and an Arts Tour Minnesota grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Hong will produce and perform Storytelling in Chinese Music from the Ancient Past to Modern Times in seven greater Minnesota communities.
