Carleton choir performance provides opportunity to learn from differing stories Outside link18 December 2020
In lieu of its traditional end-of-term concert this fall, the Carleton College Choir pieced together a performance of “#UnitedWeDream,” a composition that raises up a life story involving immigration and the DREAM Act.

Carrie Newcomer is a singer, songwriter, poet, and activist whose growing edge is learning how to live in “the beautiful not yet” with passion and purpose. She is joined by the Carleton Choir for a concert at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26 in Kracum Performance Hall.
The performance is an exploration of Christian, Jewish, and Arabic musical traditions in late medieval Spain.
In addition to his solo career, Koza fronts the popular indie folk-rock band Rogue Valley.
The appearance coincides with the new Perlman Museum exhibit, “Glimpses of Eternity: Icons in the Orthodox World.”
Carleton Singers to Perform in Boston Area March 22-2520 March 2015
The Carleton College Singers, conducted by professor of music Lawrence Burnet, will perform six times in the Boston area next week (March 22-25). The program features Minnesota composers, including Alex Freeman, Gao Hong, Carol Barnett, Brent Michael Davids, Rene Clausen, Robert Morris, and the late Stephen Paulus.
Area alumni, parents, and friends are encouraged to attend. All performances are free and open to the public.
