Concert: Cappella Romana

In this concert, Cappella Romana performs a rich program of Byzantine chant, including pieces by the female hymnographer Kassia, using digital technology to recreate in Kracum auditorium the acoustic environment of the ancient church of Hagia Sophia. A pre-concert lecture by art historian Dr. Bissera Pentcheva will explore the interconnections between space, the senses and the liturgy.
