Guest: Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet | From Tradition to the Future

Thu, February 12, 2026 • 7:00pm - 8:15pm (1h 15m) • Kracum Performance Hall

Latin GRAMMY Award winner, Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet represents the evolution of tango.  This program offers a captivating insight into the history and transformation of tango, tracing its rise from marginal venues and dance halls to its elevated status in prominent concert halls. The repertoire spans the genre's rich timeline, featuring the traditional styles of masters like Alfredo Gobbi, Francisco Canaro, and Osvaldo Pugliese, the groundbreaking Nuevo Tango of Astor Piazzolla, and the modern evolution found in Pedro Giraudo’s own works.

Beyond the music, the quartet creates an immersive experience by sharing short anecdotes about the legendary figures who defined the art form. The performance also provides a sophisticated look at the principal rhythms of the genre—milonga, waltz, and tango—giving audiences a deeper understanding of the nuance, passion, and complexity that characterize this Argentine tradition.

This event is free and open to the public. No ticket or reservation is needed to attend.
