September 14–November 14, 2018 • Perlman Teaching Museum • Kaemmer Family Gallery

This exhibition presents just a sampling of a unique collection of Inuit prints recently gifted (tunisijt) to the college by Kip Lilly, Class of 1971.
By depicting various aspects of their daily lives, communities, and environments, these Inuit printmakers are true storytellers (UnikKautte) who present sparse and carefully edited scenes that challenge “conventional” notions of perspective and narrative.
Featured prints come from the Cape Dorset, Povungnituk, and Holman Island Print cooperatives in Northern Quebec and Nunavut.
