The fundamental objective of MMUF is to broaden the range of perspectives in the humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences. As such, the program is designed to prepare fellows to enter PhD programs in those fields. The program is not designed to support students who intend to go on to medical school, law school, business school, or other professional schools, nor does it support students who intend to pursue a PhD in a non-humanities discipline.
