Making Meaning of Manuscripts. A Manuscript Workshop with Dr. Seamus Dwyer

Thu, October 17, 2024 • 3:00pm - 4:30pm (1h 30m) • Gould Library 171 (Special Collections)

Manuscripts not only contain our stories, through their script, their format and layout, their images and the visual and material conversations that these create, they themselves have stories to tell about the individual communities that created them and the individual communities that used them. Please join Dr. Seamus Dwyer in this workshop where he will share insights and techniques of reading from his research into late medieval English manuscript culture.  Attendees will have the opportunity to work with select manuscripts in facsimile from Special Collections.
