Yansi Pérez (PhD, Princeton University) is Associate Provost, Director of Advising, and Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies at Carleton College.
She has published about Roque Dalton, Horacio Castellanos Moya, and Claudia Hernández, among others. Her book Más alla del duelo was published in 2019.
She continues to work on a project titled “A Cartography of Material Memory of the Central American Diaspora in Los Angeles.” As a recipient of the Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowship by the American Council of Learned Societies, she was a visiting scholar at the Central American Studies Department at the California State University, Northridge.
