Title: A Logistics Data Scientist Navigates the Supply Chain
Abstract: Hearing about the supply chain in the news is never a good thing. As a data scientist for one of the world's largest logistics platforms, news about supply chain disruptions echo loudly in my work. In this talk, I will introduce the complex domain of logistics that I work in, discuss my journey from differential geometry and liberal arts mathematics to data science, and describe an end-to-end project I’ve worked on in the past year, including the tools, skills, and technologies I picked up on the way.
