Dear Professor Mark,
When I think of some of the most memorable moments from my time at Carleton, it’s my time spent in your classes, even though waking up for those 8:15/8:30am classes in the brutal Minnesotan weather was not always easy. Thank you for making all your classes engaging and informative and for infusing humour into your classes. You’ve inspired me to pursue Chinese language throughout college, for which I’m very grateful, not least because it’s come in very handy as now as I use it periodically when conversing with my in-laws. I hope retirement agrees well with you.
祝您身体健康！ If your travels bring you to Singapore, feel free to holler!
