Junior-Senior Faculty Class Visitation Program

This program was started by the Junior Faculty Affairs Committee (JFAC) to give Junior faculty an opportunity to learn from Senior faculty across campus.

How it works: Junior faculty indicate a discipline or type of course they are interested in visiting. A Senior faculty member is then partnered with the Junior faculty member and together they choose a specific class where the visitation will happen. The paired members meet before and after the course to discuss class design, pedagogy, etc.

Purpose/desired outcome: Over the course of the program, the Junior faculty can hear from the Senior faculty member how they have designed a particular class. The Junior faculty member then observes their class and can ask questions for the purpose of understanding the pedagogy of class design and to learn new pedagogical techniques.
