Sept 25, 2018: Learning Across the Miles: Sharing the Structure of Dakota Course

27 September 2018

Most of us are familiar with technology that facilitates remote interactions with our research collaborators. But did you know that you have the resources to share, in real time, your courses with collaborators outside of Carleton? In Winter 2018, the course Structure of Dakota was attended by collaborators at the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Dakotah Language Institute at the Lake Traverse Reservation. This presentation will share the rationale and experiences with remote course-sharing, as well as demonstrating the technology in Leighton 426 that allows remote participants to interact with people in that room.
